Semalam dah dapat EA form dari syarikat kesayangan tempat aku bekerja. Yeay!!! Ape kes happy nih? Bukan duit nak kena keluar lagik ke? Hehehe. Tak jugak, kalau kena pada caranya...

Tanggal 30 April 2011 merupakan tarikh yg amat penting bagi insan2 yg telah bekerja. Ingat ke tak nih? Inilah tarikh terakhir utk buat submission yg terpenting. Ok, terpenting kat Malaysia at least. Tarikh utk submit e-filling. Ape lagik, pengiraan cukai pendapatan. Atau lebih mudah dikenali sbg PIT (Personal Income Tax). Ini utk individu je. Utk company, baca dlm Tax Act bila nak kena submit ok.

Terlebih rajin lak aku hari nih. Lepas layan citer jiwang (LOVE, NORA), yg kawan2 cakap mcm citer omputih (not so sure about this), aku layan jap buat kira2 tax utk diri sendiri. Kot2 la terkurang bayar, nak kena siapkan duit lebih sket.

Dan, terlebih rajin lak aku, aku telah men-develop a simple PIT calculator. At least, bole la pakai utk year assessment 2010. Hopefully berguna utk org lain jugak.

Oh ye...ni antara highlights for this year exemptions:

• Individual exemption changed from RM8k to RM9k (this saved me a lot of tax).
• Broadband allowance - limited to RM500 (another saving for me) - i think last year we already have this.
• Interest on housing loan - limited to RM10k (thank you 2x) - but there is a lot of t&c to comply with - kindly check the details.
• Personal Insurance - limited to RM3k (Yeay!!!) - this has been introduced last year.
• Sport equipment allowance - limited to RM300 (I got my squash racket last year & a ball)
• Books allowance - limited to RM1k (I spent more than that).

And a lot more especially for those who has married & divorced. I have included this important information in the calculator. May vary from the actual calculation, but would be small variance only. I tested it with the real data.

Sedikit tips on tax exemption:

• Zakat - no limit - so, try to calculate your yearly salary (agak2 je pakai excell pun bole) - then pay your zakat within the taxable income year - apply for muslim only.
• Books - even though it is limited, but, make use of it - all books and magazines are eligible for this exemption (except news paper) - when u bought a book/magazine - get the receipt - have a box for you to throw all the receipts - later, when come to e-Filling - check the box and count to exemption

Tu je tips yang aku leh bagi. Lain2 tu ikut kemampuan sendiri la. Jgn menipu ok utk calculate PIT - not cool at all...
